Wellington Row set for summer finish

A 27-home scheme at the former Atkinson Morley Hospital on Copse Hill is to complete.

A show home has opened for viewings at Wellington Row, part of the 87-property Wimbledon Hill Park development.

The development by Berkeley Homes includes a mixture of family homes and apartments set within 7.5 ha of protected open land.

The hospital building has been refurbished into 27 apartments including duplexes and triplexes. Completion is expected for the summer.

Three new sports pitches have been completed, along with a sports pavilion, which will be released to the council.

The complex will also have a private cinema, library, boardroom facility, concierge service and residents' gym.

The Victorian hospital has undergone a major restoration project. A special brickwork effect was installed to restore damaged exterior and the chapel’s original ceiling and stained glass were sensitively refurbished.
